There seems to have been movement where her hand is on her hip. The sharpness of the shot makes that a distraction. Unless...

I noticed that the man is in sharp focus as is the girl ONLY where she is in physical contact with him, making the capture more ethereal than first glimpsed. The way she is 'washed out' in places where the light blurs the lines of her shape, adds to the effect that she may not be much more than a creation of his - the object of his desire and created by him through sheer force of will.

Maybe I'm putting too much into the shot - but I can't help but feel there was more in it than is shown in the surface.

WOW! I do like that. This has already given me a few ideas for a new shoot. If I did have this idea, and you did pick up on it, I think I would have moved up to another level. I love this type of feedback!

The truth about the shoot is that it did not work out as planned.
Originally, the 'male' was intended to stand at attention, sort of like a prop, with the female taking the dominant role of the 'drill sergeant'; with her leaning up to his ear, expressing a somewhat aggressive/authoritarian composure, yelling at him.
The idea was to centralize the male as a static, grounding element, and work the female in various poses around him, making her the element of expression. All within the framework of recruit vs drill sergeant interplay.

Hee hee! Though I think the positioning of the guy's shoulders should be back and his stance erect, like a real soldier, not kind of slumped. Anyway, it's still very pretty!
